Something I've been excited about this week is the recent forms update from Webflow - form-level settings for contact form submissions

This was first announced at Webflow Conf 2025, and just launched yesterday!

If you're unfamiliar with it, one of the quirky things about working with Webflow in the past is that all form submission settings were handled on a site-wide level. Although this made it easy to manage all form settings in one place, it was easy to run into limitations with this, especially for businesses that needed to send different form submissions to different email addresses.

If someone needed to send submissions from different forms to different emails, you had to use a workaround with integrations like Hubspot or Zapier to send form submissions to a variety of emails.

Now, thanks to Webflow's latest updates, you can now configure form submission settings for each form manually!

What a great update, and one that I know lots of Webflow designers, developers, and marketing teams have been waiting for! I know I've been personally waiting on this update since I started using Webflow in 2019.

A quick overview of the recent form updates

As of October 15 2025, here are the some of the latest updates:

  • Individual form settings are now in the Designer - no need to toggle back and forth between the site settings and the designer to make form changes.
  • You can easily add any email address to receive email submissions - You can add multiple email addresses to receive form notifications, and these recipients don't need to have a Webflow account
  • Individual forms have their own individual settings - Each form has its own individual settings, allowing you to send form submission notifications to different email addresses
  • Spam submissions are now filtered and available in its own inbox
  • Redesigned UI for form submissions - In form settings, you can see a list of all of the forms on your site, and navigate between them easier to see form submissions

Testing out the new forms & some quick tips

With this brand new update, I've been working on updating Webflow forms for client sites this week, and there are a few things I've noticed or encountered that might help you as you work with the new forms update:

  • Form settings still might look different based on your plan - it seems that the forms update hasn't been rolled out yet fully on sites with CMS plans - at least on the sites I've been working on! This may take some time to roll out across all Webflow sites, so it's best to reach out to support if things look different than expected.
  • On the Business plan site I updated, it was simple to add multiple email addresses for form submission notifications
  • On a site with multiple forms, at the time of writing, there doesn't seem to be a way to bulk update all of the form submission emails - you'll have to do it manually for each form. I'm sure this will be something likely added in the future!
  • When you copy/paste forms, the form settings won't get copied over, so it's best to double check your form settings before publishing to make sure everything is connected.

These are just the small things I've noticed as the new form updates are rolling out. I'm excited to see how these new and improved forms will simplify submission management for businesses seeking a more straightforward solution. I know I'm personally excited for this update!

As always, hope you found this post helpful!
